At Sunrise Forever Inc., we believe that every individual deserves the opportunity to thrive. Since our founding in 2016 by the Executive Director Mrs. Alice Dine-Howard, we've been committed to transforming lives through education, empowerment, and humanitarian service, both locally in Rhode Island and globally across West Africa.
With the support of our generous community of donors, volunteers, and partners, we’ve created programs that bring hope, dignity, and opportunity to underserved populations.
Fighting Food Insecurity in Rhode Island
Every week, our culturally responsive food distribution program provides fresh seafood and produce to over 950 individuals and families across the state. We are proud to help ease food insecurity and bring nourishment to homes that need it most.
Empowering the Next Generation
Our Youth Mentorship Program equips middle school students with the tools they need to succeed-fostering leadership, teamwork, and life skills that prepare them to become thoughtful, engaged citizens.
Delivering Educational Tools Across West Africa
We've distributed more than 4,600 backpacks and thousands of school supplies to 45+ schools in Liberia and Ghana, ensuring that students have the resources they need to learn and succeed.
Supporting Rhode Island’s Unhoused Community
In partnership with local faith-based organizations, we provide warm meals and hygiene kits to individuals experiencing homelessness-offering compassion, comfort, and care during difficult times.
Back-to-School Support for Local Families
In response to the challenges of the pandemic, we distributed 100 fully stocked backpacks to Rhode Island students, helping them begin the school year with confidence and readiness.
Empowering Women in Liberia
We’ve awarded scholarships to 11 young women in Bomi County to pursue vocational training in cooking and pastry arts-opening doors to entrepreneurship and financial independence.
Rebuilding Schools, Restoring Hope
To improve learning environments, we donated building materials, including cement and roofing sheets, to support the renovation of Beh Town School in rural Liberia.
Caring for Orphaned Children
We provide consistent food and care to over 40 children at Divine Town Orphanage Home in Paynesville, Liberia, ensuring they receive the nourishment and support they need to grow.
Promoting Inclusive Education
We proudly support students with disabilities by funding scholarships for learners at a school for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Liberia—advocating for equal access to education.
Vocational Training for Refugee Youth
On a Ghana-based refugee camp, we’ve provided computer literacy, baking, and sewing training to over 60 young Liberians, giving them the practical skills to build sustainable futures.
